Sakai

Mainstream Commercial Sakai Offerings

Sakai Project
The Sakai Project began in 2004 when Stanford, Michigan, Indiana, MIT and Berkeley began building a common Courseware Management System rather than continuing their homegrown systems or licensing software from a commercial vendor. As of July 2007, Sakai is in production at over 150 institutions and being piloted by over 100 more.

Mainstream offers specialized Sakai hosting for Educational institutions. We provide complete Sakai implementations for School Districts as well as a collaboration site for school districts which allows teachers and administrators to share ideas, course work and other materials.
