Hackers are now targeting car washes
Something as mundane as getting your car washed could now become a dangerous ordeal.
A group of security researchers have exposed the vulnerabilities in automatic car washes and proved just how easy it can be for hackers to target an internet-connected, drive-through car wash and damage vehicles.
Using an old pick-up truck to test their theory, the research team hacked an Internet-enabled PDQ LaserWash system, one of the most commonly used systems in the country, according to Motherboard.
